The Good Samaritan Donation Program

Door To Serenity / Harbor House is pleased to offer additional resources for our client guests by partnering with Goodwill EasterSeals of the Gulf Coast's GOOD SAMARITAN Program.  With this program, your donations to Goodwill will do double duty in that they serve the community at large through Goodwill service locations but also offer the opportunity for our clients to shop Goodwill through payment vouchers that come from your donations.  Here's how it works:

1. If you have items of goods or clothing to donate to Goodwill, also make contact with our team via email or phone (see below)
2. We will provide you with a DONOR REFERRAL CARD that specifies values from your donations to be "co-attributed" for Door To Serenity.
3. At the time of donation, simply present the complete Donor Referral Card to the Goodwill officer receiving your donation and a donation valuation will be assigned and the card sent to the Goodwill EasterSeals administrative offices.
4. On receipt and validation of your gift, Goodwill EasterSeals, under the auspices of the Good Samaritan Project, will send "shopping vouchers" to our offices 
5. The vouchers are then provided to our clients who are in need of clothing or other goods so that they can shop with the voucher funds.
